Harvesting sunflowers is a serious test for equipment. Fragile heads, large amounts of oily residue that clogs separation, and a high fire risk all demand precise combine settings. Two market leaders from CNH Industrial - New Holland and Case IH - take different approaches to threshing. Let's break down which technology suits sunflower fields best.
Design Differences in Threshing Systems
The main difference between the brands lies in rotor architecture, which directly affects working speed and threshing quality.
New Holland (CR Series)
New Holland's rotary models are built on Twin Rotor technology - two longitudinal rotors of smaller diameter.
